Introducing the Frog Doll Sewing Pattern (Ribbit)

I’m so excited to introduce to you the newest animal pattern in the Phoebe Rag Doll collection! This cute frog doll was so fun to design. Sometimes I have an idea for a project that makes me push aside all my other sewing projects and start immediately, and this was one of those, haha!

The Frog Doll PDF Sewing Pattern includes full instructions with step by step photos for the doll, the shorts, and the skirt. You can get the pattern here in my shop, or here on Etsy if you prefer.

The best part is that this doll can wear any of the other clothes in the Phoebe Rag Doll collection! So if you already have the baby pattern, the Cat & Mouse pattern, the Pig & Cow pattern, or the Bunny pattern, then you can make any of those clothes to make a wardrobe for your frog doll (although the baby’s sleep sack will need adjusted to fit the frog’s legs, of course!) And be sure and grab the FREE romper pattern too!

The best features of this new pattern, in my most humble opinion, are the knotted knees and the eyes! You can either use cute buttons for eyes, or use the safety eyes. I made it both ways and they’re equally adorable. I got my eyes at Hobby Lobby and they’re the 5/8” size. I’m sure they’re available at other craft stores also — they’re usually with the doll making and doll house supples. And of course, you can find them on Amazon as well.

As for fabrics, anything goes! I used various greens: a print, a solid, and I even made one with all different green scraps. And honestly, if you choose a non-green fabric, it will still look like a frog, so don’t be afraid to use whatever fabric you like. A pink frog would be the cutest!

I hope you enjoy this pattern and that you have as much fun sewing frogs as I did!

Cheers and Happy Sewing  :)
