Tips for Planning your Christmas Gift Sewing
Christmas is right around the corner and for those of us with crafty talents, starting our Christmas gift sewing in November can already feel too late! If this is you right now, let me offer you some advice and tips for cutting down on some of the stress Christmas gift sewing can bring.
I filmed a video on this topic just for you last week and judging by the comments, it resonated with lots of people. Consider this permission to take the pressure off! Grab a cup of coffee and give it a watch, and hopefully you’ll be both encouraged and inspired.
I also created a FREE little printable for you to help you with your Christmas gift sewing plans! Grab it here from my shop. It contains spaces for all the people you want to sew for, an area for your shopping list, a space for keeping track of each item you’re sewing, and a spot for extra notes. Print one or a bunch!
The biggest takeaway I’d love to give you from the above video is to stop pressuring yourself to sew the gifts if you don’t want to, if you don’t have the time, or if you’re doing it because you feel like there is some expectation on you to sew the gifts, just because you can sew the gifts.
Okay, now that we’ve released the pressure, I have some great gift ideas that are perfect for batch sewing! These are items that use your stash, are fast to sew, easy to personalize, and have no fussy elements. You can watch the video roundup of my best batch sewing gift ideas here, but here they are in list form:
