When my kids were little, they had a Little People Nativity play set that they loved and looked forward to getting out of the holiday bin each year at Christmastime. My newest pattern was inspired by this sweet Christmas memory with my own children, who are now teens, and I really hope you love it!

My oldest daughter is an advanced ballerina and so ballet has been a big part of our family due to her all out passion for it these last many years. Through her influence, I’ve fallen in love with the ballet world along with her — the costumes, the music, behind-the-scenes, and the ballet itself.

I made her a velvet flower pillow AND THEN I went on to design a patchwork version using the fat quarters I’d just received from my Annie’s subscription. Read MoreMy oldest daughter has been redecorating her room a little bit and requested some fresh throw pillows! We went fabric shopping and chose a couple great fabrics that fit her color scheme and she ordered some pillow forms from Amazon and I got to work.
She wanted ruffled throw pillows, which I was happy to make because ruffles are just sew pretty in home decor! I’m so glad ruffles seem to be making a comeback. I’ve been pinning a lot of bedding looks lately and am very drawn toward ruffley gingham sheets and pillow cases. They’re so pretty.

Read MoreYears ago, I created a tutorial for my very first blog for a cute little purse I made as a gift for my daughter. That was in the early days of blogging when everything was fun and fancy free. Long story short, I stored photos on Flickr back then and the Flickr proceeded to lose a ton of my photos and so the tutorial for this purse had holes in it and I got comments asking for the missing photos for years afterward.
It was a GREAT, easy little project, though, and the first tutorial I ever had go kinda viral, so I’ve been wanting to recreate it for a long time and I finally got around to it!
