Introducing the Piper & Pip Elf Doll PDF Sewing Pattern

This pattern has been floating around my head for a few holiday seasons now and I’m so excited to have made it in plenty of time for your Christmas sewing plans!

Piper and Pip are boy and girl soft elf dolls with embroidered faces, felt hair, and the cutest little festive outfits, down to the bells on their toes!

The Piper & Pip Elf Doll PDF pattern is now available in my shop, and on Etsy if you prefer to shop there. It comes with the doll pattern, plus all the clothes, and step by step instructions with photos.

I strive to make all my patterns beginner friendly, so as I thought about the release of this pattern and sewing techniques that beginners might struggle with, I decided to film a video as I made my elf doll, full of tips for sewing small things. A few construction changes and sewing methods can make a big difference when sewing tiny things, so watch the YouTube video below for all my best tips for sewing small. And if you need even more help with sewing the dolls, check out my doll sewing playlist here.

A handmade elf doll would be the perfect homemade version of Elf on the Shelf! If you enjoy the Elf on the Shelf tradition in your home, how much sweeter would it be with an elf doll you made yourself? I hope that if you take photos of your doll getting up to mischief this Christmas, you’ll send those pics to me, because that would really make my day :)

I hope you enjoy this new pattern as much as I enjoyed creating it! If I had to pick one thing to design patterns for forever, it would be dolls, they’re just my favorite.

Cheers and Happy Sewing!
